This book was printed in Paris for the English market. It was divided into five sections containing commentary on the synodal constitutions of the province of Canterbury, from the time of Archbishop Stephen Langton [1155-1228] to Archbishop Henry Chichele [1414-1443] by Lyndwood, who was the Bishop of St. Davids, the ordinary (ie., authoritative officer) of the Church in Wales Diocese of St Davids.
