One-page, partially printed writ ordering a Sheriff to attach slaves and real property in compensation for an unpaid debt

Madison County, Tennessee: 1855. Unbound. This partially printed document measures 7.75” x 9.75”. It is in nice shape with light toning and short split just starting along one storage fold. The document directs the county sheriff to seize property, including two slaves, in compensation for a debt owed by V. B. Woolfolk and Joseph Faggs to William B. Marshall, which he did, docketing the writ “Levied this attachment on Sollomon and Ben the negroes named within this the 12th day of February 1856 . . . Levied this also one the lot in Cotton grove on which V. B. Woolfolk resides: one other lot of said Woolfolk in cotton grove. . . Very good. Item #009201
