This is a bizarrely illustrated yearbook from the premier college of osteopathic medicine. The yearbook's editor, Le Brun, also provided its illustrations, many of which are color cartoons of fetuses engaged in a variety of student activities such as studying, dissection, sports, and Greek hazing. The yearbook also contains a number of eerie full-page b/w illustrations by Le Brun that are somewhat in the style of Harry Clarke, Aubrey Beardsley, and Edward Gorey. Kirksville, founded in 1892, was the world's first school of osteopathic medicine, a discipline that today includes all the basics of modern conventional medicine with additional emphasis on the manipulation of bones and muscles.
