First reprint of 1899 edition by the original publisher. Slate colored cloth with bright silver lettering and decoration. Photos and drawings throughout. Listed as scarce by Adams in Six-Guns and Saddle Leather: 1840-1880 era, "deals largely with the Montana vigilantes, tells of the death of Henry Plummer, gives some information on Captain Jack, the Modoc Indian outlaw, and gives other events in the life of a braggart . . . entertaining. . . ." Tight binding with sound hinges; front hinge just barely starting. Clean pages; toned and a little brittle with light dampstain at textblock fore-edge. Light cover wear. Much nicer condition than usually found. Protected by an archival cover. See accompanying scanned image.
