Prague Vysehrad 1974 Printed Wrapper Near Fine No Jacket Folio - over 12" - 15" tall Kubasta, V. 
Light edge wear. The complex double-page pop-up is in very nice shape; only noticed minor misfold to one of the angels wings. Some faint small flower doodling at the margin of the rear cover. The pop-up features a nativity scene mixed with a Victorian town setting. Includes carolers, clock tower, and townsfolk in addition to the expected figures. Front cover shows wise men and a Victorian sleigh approaching the walled gates of a city guarded by what look to be toy soldiers. Music for Silent Night appears on the back cover with lyrics in Czech, German, and English. Kubasta published several varieties of these textless pop-ups designed to be placed on a tables or shelves as a Christmas decorations.

Providence, RI Livermore and Knight (probably) 1906 Postcard Near Fine 
A truly rare pop-up novelty advertising postcard for the 1907 Christmas season, probably published by Livermore and Knight. When opened an arm pops-up in the center holding a glass of liquor in a toast "Here's to your good health . . . may you all live long and prosper." A whiskey price list is on the opposite page. The pop-up is in great shape. The card has very light wear incuding the closing mechanism. Franked with Scott #300 with a 1906 Boston postmark.

3 Unlisted 7-Piece Movable Farmyard Christmas Card
Unlisted Publisher Greeting Card Near Fine 
Undated, but probaby 1940s. Consists of a small (approximately 4" x 3") die-cut barn card with opening double barn doors with seven die-cut farm animals (dog, chicken, turkey, cow, goat, and horse). The barn doors open to show a picture of a horse in a stall, which is the front of an envelope that contains the other animals. The greeting printed on the barn reads, "Merry Christmas / Just look inside and you will see all the farmyard folk who bring greetings from me." Each of the animals has differently captioned tab. For example, the cow tab reads, "The good od bossy says 'Moo-Moo' Nice sweet milk she'll give to you". Clean with very light wear.

4 Unlisted Civil War Patriotic Movable Tent Valentine with Its Original Patriotic Envelope
1862 Card and Envelope Very Good 
Often referred to as "The Soldier's Farewell," this set of cover and movable card is the second hardest Civil War patriotic to find and is identified as "Extremely Rare" in Walcott (see number 2380). The valentine features a flag draped tent with movable flaps that open to reveal a soldier writing a letter to his sweetheart at home. Both card and cover are unused. The card is clean with some light edge wear and one light dot of foxing. The envelope has some light soiling and is missing the top flap and one side flap.

Circa 1900. Card measures approximately 7.5" x 8.5". Bound with light blue ribbons. Applique on front cover with folding doors decorated with two angels, gold, silver, and green glitter. Inside the doors is another fold-out showing four pretty young girls in winter coats and hats. Four pages of poems are inside the card covers. Unused and clean with very light wear.

1857 Greeting Card Very Good 
Approximately 3.25" x 5". Very attrractive valentine with an embossed British diamond registry marking that indicates that its Lace design (XIII) was registered in 1857 (K) on the 11th (11) of July (I). There are four folding lace panels that open to reveal a colorful bouquet topped by a silver cherub. A gilt-bordered oval motto below the bouquet reads, "My heart is true To thy love." Unsigned. Almost no wear to the lace front and interior. There are paper remnants on the reverse, probably from a scrapbook page.

Kershaw & Son 1855 Greeting Card Very Good 
Circa 1855. Approximately 4" x 5.5". The valentine consists of three leaves: 1) a paper lace cover with two attached scraps, one multicolor and one gilt, 2) a tissue page with a colorful diecut lady holding a mirror and a diecut scroll motto that reads "True love is like a Gorgian knot / Which Angel hands have tied / By heavenly skill its texture wrouth . Who shall its fold divide", and 3) a blank light card backing. "Kershaw & Son" is embossed on margin of the front cover. There is a price "1 1/2" on the reverse of the back panel. An inscription on the back of the card reads, "Miss Mattie I will write soon and this Valentines is from your Friend Harry". The lace front panel is perhaps missing a few small pieces at the corner. The tissue leaf and back panel have some toning.

Meek 1860 Greeting Card Very Good 
Circa 1860. Approximately 3" x 4". The valentine consists of three leaves: 1) a partially gilded lace paper cover, 2) a blue paper leaf with a diecut multicolor cherub and six solid color stars, and 3) a blank card backing to which has been affixed a red and blue retangular motto that reads, "To One I Love / Whe the sweet perfume of flowers, / Scents the balmy air, / How sweet to pass the evening hours, / With thee my charming fair." "Meek" is embossed on the left margin of the front cover. There is a price "W/1" on the reverse of the back panel. The lace front panel is perhaps missing a few small pieces. The paper leaf and back panel each have a tiny spot of very light toning at the top edge.

Very attrractive valentine in the style of Esther Howland, however one of her price codes does not appear on the reverse. Approximately 3.75" x 5.5". The card features lacework, gold embossing, green and red background papers, and embossed die-cut figures of a woman holding a giant flower and a boy playing the violin. A page of verse is tipped in. The original embossed envelope is present. Unused, unsigned, and unaddressed. Tne card is clean with almost no wear. The envelope has some light foxing.

The Reistle Company 1926 Table Centerpiece Very Good 
Nice Washington's Birthday table centerpiece with honeycomb base, six honeycomb cherries, and a die-cut young Washington chopping down the famous cherry tree. Clean. Several creases including cherry stems, but they don't interfere with assembly. Old tape reinforcement to locking tabs. Honeycombs are slightly faded but in good shape.
