Very scarce, signed, limited edtion of Goldsmith's classic Rankin-Bass reference. (Goldsmith is the official Rankin-Bass historian-biographer.) Perfect-bound, pictorial hardcover. 176 pages with illustrations throughout. Stated First edition, but actually a third printing that updates the original 1997 paperback original. Rankin/Bass produced animated classics including Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Santa Claus is Coming to Town, The Hobbit, Frosty the Snowman, Mad Monster Party, Thundercats, The Year Without a Santa Claus, The Jackson Five, The Osmonds, and many, many more. Everything you could want to know about all 35 of their tv specials, 13 tv series, and 6 theatrical movies, with a summary of their 7 live-action films. A Frosty the Snowman birthday card created and signed by Paul Coker Jr., one of the principal Rankin/Bass (and Mad Magazine) illustrators is laid in. As new; purchased directly from Rick Goldsmith. Perfect binding feels a little fragile.

One of Julian Wehr's more scarce creations. All four animations have all pieces and work. No tape or repairs noted. Tabs are soiled; two are torn but easily operable. Pages are generally clean with some finger smudges. Several pages have pulls to binding holes. Cover has some edgewear and soiling.
